Day 15 Prayer – Fear

,

Dear Prayer Warrior:

Please use this prayer as a guide.  As you pray, listen to the still, small voice of God.

Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you.  Pray for persons or situations you may be personally aware of concerning this issue.  Use scriptures you know as the sword of the Spirit.

Scripture Praise Focus:
“Do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
(Isaiah 41:10)

Dear Heavenly Father,

You are faithful God.  You do not make promises that you do not keep.  Though others may forsake us, or let us down, you never do.  You know every trigger for fear we experience, and you already have a way out of the fear for us…trusting you.  Trusting you for eternity, and for the temporary.  You see the big picture God, and if you are for us who could be against us?  Thank you for your word that reminds us, that there is no need to fear.  Neither moth, nor rust nor thieves can take from us what you have for us in heaven, Lord.  Whom shall we fear?  You are the God of the universe and you are faithful.

Lord, many on this campus today struggle with fear.  Fear of consequences of their own actions, fear of the actions of others.  Fear of illness.  Fear of financial stability.  Lord the enemy attacks us with fear that You may not be who you say you are.  That maybe the beginning of wisdom is every man for himself, instead of believing that You are God.  Lord, would you ban the spirit of fear from this campus.  Would you remind those who walk this campus that You are the great I AM.  You are their Shepherd, who is guiding them toward still waters, and green pastures, and that whatever trials they face on the path today, You have already overcome.  May they focus less on their fear, and more on their Shepherd, so their peace will increase.

Father, we ask this be a campus of brotherly love and affection.  That through one another they would comfort, encourage and build confidence in your sovereignty.  Lord, help them to recognize when one is struggling with fear, and be bold to remind each other where their Help comes from.  “The Lord is my Shepherd…”  Would the tactics of intimidation and manipulation be far from the hearts on this campus, and peace and truth take their place.  God bless this campus with the presence of Your Holy Spirit who brings love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and self-control.  There is no place for fear when the Spirit is in control.

God thank you that you are our Shepherd; you guide and protect us.  Guide and protect these students, faculty and staff.  Thank you for your Son, Jesus Christ, who has conquered death and given us new life.  Life more abundant.  Not afraid.  Thank you that the more we grow in him the more our fears subside.  Help those on this campus choose to rely on Your power, and have rest for their souls, minds and hearts.

We pray this prayer in Jesus’ name. Amen!
