Day 28 Prayer – Rejection

,

Dear Prayer Warrior:

Please use this prayer as a guide.  As you pray, listen to the still, small voice of God.

Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you.  Pray for persons or situations you may be personally aware of concerning this issue.  Use scriptures you know as the sword of the Spirit.

Scripture Praise Focus:
“For the sake of his great name the Lord will not reject his people,
because the Lord was pleased to make you his own.”
1 Samuel 12:22

Dear Heavenly Father,

We give You praise and glory that You can do the impossible in the lives of students who have been rejected.  You are able to do far more than we could ever ask or imagine.  There is nothing too difficult for You.  So today, Lord, we ask that You show them You are close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).    Please touch their hearts and minds with the power of Your love and presence.   Some may even feel rejected by You, please help them understand that You do not reject Your people, or forsake Your inheritance (Psalm 94:14).  For those who do not know Jesus as Savior, we pray that they would turn from darkness to light, from the power of Satan to God, that they might receive forgiveness of sins (Acts 26:18).

We pray for students during a time when they may have to operate within a performance trap.  They may feel rejections from parents, professors, and colleagues.  Help them see that Your love is based on who they are and not what they do.  You gave your only Son’s life to demonstrate Your love (John 3:16), a gift of redemption that was given while we were still separated from you as sinners (Romans 5:8).  May the Holy Spirit prompt these students to focus on the certainty of their acceptance by you, and their feelings of rejection by others.  We pray You will remove feelings of rejection, love them unconditionally, and encourage them to live a life that will help others and glorify You.

We pray that the students on this campus would turn to You with all of their heart.   Father, we know that man often falls short and we make mistakes, but You knew all of the mistakes that each of us would ever make and You have chosen us anyway.  You will never leave nor forsake us.  For students who have been rejected by fallen man, we pray they know they are accepted because of a risen Savior.

We pray this prayer in Jesus’ name. Amen!
