Day 27 Prayer – Rape
Dear Prayer Warrior:
Please use this prayer as a guide. As you pray, listen to the still, small voice of God.
Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you. Pray for persons or situations you may be personally aware of concerning this issue. Use scriptures you know as the sword of the Spirit.
Scripture Praise Focus:
“A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand
at your right hand, but it shall not come near you.”
(Psalm 91:10)
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank you today that You are all knowing and ever present. Thank you that Your eyes are upon the righteous and You are attentive to their cry. (Psalm 34:15) We praise You knowing You promise that no evil shall befall us and no plague will come against us (Psalm 91:10). You also promise us that no weapon formed against us will prosper and we will refute any accusation raised against us in court. This is our heritage and our righteousness is from You. (Isaiah 54:17) We appropriate these promises to the students we are praying for today on the college campus.
Today we pray with a heart full of compassion for the students on campus who will be violated sexually and experience rape. We ask Your Holy Spirit to protect each student on campus from the evil perpetrated against them. We ask You to give them wisdom and to order their steps. (Proverbs 20:24). May these little ones walk in the peace and protection only You and Your Holy Spirit can provide. Psalm 91:4, 5 declares they will not be afraid of the terror of the night. We know You will cover them under Your wings and they will trust and find refuge in You. Your truth and faithfulness are a shield and a buckler. We pray for the perpetrators and ask You to reveal Your ways to these abusers and show them the error of their ways. Lead them into all truth that they might find the love of God in their lives and overcome the issues in their hearts and the sins of their flesh. May they learn to walk in Your truth and find freedom in You.
We pray today for strength for any student who is in an abusive sexual situation. Please give them a supernatural ability to overcome their abuser by walking away from that situation and removing themselves from unhealthy people in their lives. Restore and heal all who have been victims of rape. We pray the truth will prevail and that these students would not hide behind a wall of shame. We ask you to reveal to them all truth, that they can find forgiveness in their hearts toward their abuser.
We praise Your Holy Name for the ways you stand over Your Word to perform it. We thank you for giving Your angels charge over these students to accompany and defend and preserve them in all of the their ways. (Psalm 91:11). Protect them, Lord. Your name is worthy to be praised and glorious in all the earth.
We pray this prayer in Jesus’ name. Amen!
