Day 22 Prayer – Manipulation
Dear Prayer Warrior:
Please use this prayer as a guide. As you pray, listen to the still, small voice of God.
Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you. Pray for persons or situations you may be personally aware of concerning this issue. Use scriptures you know as the sword of the Spirit.
Scripture Praise Focus:
“Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God?
Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men,
I would not be a servant of Christ.”
Galatians 1:10
Dear Heavenly Father,
We give You praise and glory that You can do the impossible in the lives of students who are attempting to orchestrate events and situations in their lives without trusting You. You are able to do far more than we could ever ask or imagine. There is nothing too difficult for You. So today, Lord, we ask that You put an end to manipulation among students studying in our universities. Please touch their hearts and minds with the power of Your love and presence. As they enter this new semester, protect them from being controlled or controlling others for self-serving gain. For those who do not know Jesus as Savior, we pray that they would turn from darkness to light, from the power of Satan to God, so that they might receive forgiveness of sins (Acts 26:18).
We pray for students during a time when they begin making life changing decisions and there may be an overwhelming drive to excel and be overachievers. We pray that as the world conditions them to be in control, that they would relinquish control to You and trust that You will work all things out for their good because they love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May the Holy Spirit make known to all students that You will always guide, satisfy, and strengthen them in their worse times; and You will cause them to prosper and be productive. (Isaiah 58:11). We pray those who would manipulate students for their own purposes, would not get a foot hold in the mind and heart of the student. We pray that they will seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, so that all things will be added unto them. (Matthew 6:33)
Lord, we ask that You give each student the gift of faith to trust that You have a purposeful and prosperous life for them. Allow them to be witnesses to your goodness on this campus so that others may long to know you. May students and professors contradict the thoughts and plans of those who choose to be manipulative and help those who are manipulated to a better way of life.
We pray, Father, that these students trust Your plan for their lives. In doing so, they will not have the need or desire to orchestrate, through manipulation or deceit, the outcome of their plans. Help them to see that You want more for them than they could ever imagine for themselves. Thank You, Lord, that You desire to prosper us and to bless us so we may be a blessing. We pray that plans, dreams, and goals are given to You and that Your will be done.
We pray this prayer in Jesus’ name. Amen!
