Day 10 Prayer – Critical Spirit

Dear Prayer Warrior:

Please use this prayer as a guide.  As you pray, listen to the still, small voice of God.

Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you.  Pray for persons or situations you may be personally aware of concerning this issue.  Use scriptures you know as the sword of the Spirit.

Scripture Praise Focus:
“Do not have a judging heart, for you also will be judged.”
(Matthew 7:1)

Dear Heavenly Father,

I give You thanks and praise for Who You are! You are the Creator of the heavens and the earth and You desire to know each of us in a personal and intimate way! Lord, You know what we need before we do and have a plan for us. You will not leave us to our own devices and destruction, but desire to live among us, and help us in ways we cannot even begin to imagine. Lord, You are who You say You are and will do what You say You will do! Thank you!

Father, in the blessed, beautiful name of Your son, Jesus Christ, we ask that You draw each of these students to You in a mighty way … that they will hearken to Your call … and turn their hearts to You and allow the Holy Spirit to help them in ALL that they do. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, Father, begin to reveal to these students, Your loving plan for each of their lives. May every critical spirit be cast away, rejected and replaced by Your Holy Word and promise found in 2 Corinthians 5:17, Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! May sarcasm, cynicism and all other negative and rebellious actions and attitudes be destroyed in the transformation of their hearts and minds through Christ! Bind up all the fear and offenses Satan uses to blind our students. Protect them from his deceit and give them spiritual eyes to walk in victory!

Father, we ask that You transform the very atmosphere of the college campus. Make the college campus a place where bright minds are sparked with innovation and where new friendships are forged. Let iron sharpen iron and may students and professors come together in the fellowship that only Your presence can bring. We pray that students will help one another, speak truth to one another, and replace the critical spirit with the fruit of Your Holy Spirit. Galatians 5:22-23 “…  the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” May a chain reaction of Your love and peace be evident to those who are shown kindness and love. May students witness Your presence and power dwelling on the campuses in such a strong way that Your light and peace would displace all fear and defensiveness.

“Let God arise and His enemies be scattered” (Ps 68:1) in the hearts of these students and on campuses everywhere. We praise Your Holy Name and thank You Lord that You and You alone are in charge of these students’ hearts and lives. We give You all of the praise and all of the glory and all honor as we commit these students into Your hands. Please hear our prayers today, Lord, and bring revival in the hearts and lives of these students in a dramatic and powerful way.

We pray this prayer in Jesus’ name. Amen!
